Grace & Harmony
With it’s simple styling, the traditional 5 piece shaker is still ever popular. (5 pieces are from the 2 vertical rails, 2 horizontal rails, and 1 centre panel). Choices of Belfast or Butler sink are common but more so undermount sinks for the more contemporary feel. Worktops of granite or real Oak worktop are often chosen, with quartz is a great choice too, again for a modern twist. Often painted doors with cup handles on the drawers, and metro style wall tile are popular. To save on the budget, consider vinyl wrapped doors to get the look. You may prefer a more up to date look with an undermount sink and alternative handle. Range cookers are often paired with this, but you may prefer your ovens a little higher.
A classic door style often has the raised centre panel, with a more intricate cornice & pelmet, worktop profile edge and other detailing, for an opulent room appearance. Often these are paired with granite worktops, but also may have a more modern quartz or Dekton for the modern touch. Perhaps a full height splashback in glass or worktop material instead of tiling. Just because they are referred to as classic doesn’t mean you are restricted to staying totally old school. You might opt for a ‘modern range’ oven setup, with a couple of low level ovens under the worktop oven side by side plus a 5+ burner hob above them, or the oven & microwave tall housing stack. Again as with modern, of course we have access to all appliance manufacturers to keep you covered. For example Candy, Hoover, AEG, Bosch, Samsung, Neff, Smeg, Miele as just a few of what we can supply.
Traditional kitchens are split into two styles, those being shaker or classic.
Timeless classic styles that haven’t gone out of fashion. You may want to get a ‘farmhouse’ look and feel, where more simplicity and function rules the day. Or maybe make a much more grand statement is called for, with more delicate features. Sometimes your home may dictate the style, but just as often it is the complete overall style of your home that you may want to tie the kitchen into.
